About

The Department of History, Polba Mahavidyalaya was founded in 2005. It has been functional since the inception of the college. The department has a positive and dedicated student-teacher relationship. This has made the experience of teaching-learning dialogic and effective. The department aims at inculcating the knowledge of the discipline among the students. It also aims at producing a sense of empathy and respect towards the subject. The department is keen on expanding the learning spectrum of the students; therefore, it gives concentrated efforts on programmes like seminars, talks and field visits. The department of history believes in empowering students for their life and livelihood through knowledge.
