Polba Mahavidyalaya, Hooghly was established in 2005, under the University of Burdwan with a Graduation Programmee in the College. From starting, since 2005 there is General Course in Political Science but not Hons course. B.A Hons in Political Science has been introduced in 2015 and from that time onward it is teaching in the college. The Department of Political has total 3 faculty members: 2 permanent members and a SACT. Political Science includes Western Political Thought, Indian Political Thought, Political Theory, Comparative Politics, Public Administration, International Relation, India’s Foreign Policy, Indian Constitution, Constitution of Different countries like, USA, UK, China , France, Germany, Japan, Switzerland, etc., Political Sociology, Indian Political History, World Political History, Indian Political Economy, World Political Economy, Human Rights Education, Laws relating to different issues and Research Methodology. This subject is interconnected with any other subjects of arts. As a human of society, everyone must aware about this subject. This subject creates good citizen.
